One of the most significant presidential collections in the country is housed at the President James K. Polk Home & Museum. The majority of the collection comes directly from the Polk family and contains many items that James and Sarah Polk personally possessed and used, such as White House china, campaign materials, and gowns that belonged to the First Lady.
