The Story Behind St. Patrick's Day

The roots of St. Patrick's Day trace back to the 5th century, when Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, brought Christianity to the country.

Over centuries, this day evolved from a solemn religious observance into a widespread celebration of Irish heritage.

Today, people from all backgrounds, including many Tennesseans, come together to honor Irish traditions and culture.
